Mentoring programmes
We recognise a distinction between mentoring and coaching, both can be external or internal to an organisation but the best mentors come from within an organisation and represent the tacit knowledge of that organisation.
The most successful mentoring schemes have structure and boundaries clearly understood by all; trained Mentor and Mentees and a good scheme co-ordinator.
Mentoring is the most cost-efficient and sustainable method of fostering and developing talent within your organisation.
You can use mentoring to: stretch talented employees to perform even better by exposure to high performing colleagues; ensure that experience is passed and kept within your organisation; power your diversity programme by supporting employees from groups that are under-represented in your organisation by having them talk with others who have overcome similar barriers
We are delighted to be associates of David Clutterbuck, the foremost European author on mentoring. David’s seminal 2001 text ‘Everybody Needs A Mentor’ was recently re-issued in 2004.
